What does myWebFeeds do?

What if you want to blogify your site and you don’t understand the technology needed? Or you’ve got a lot of content in a state where it’s time-consuming and expensive to switch into a blog format?

This is the situation which Ian Davis first designed myrss.com to address, five years ago. The idea of it was to create an algorithm which would look at the elements on a page and figure out what might constitute the “Title” “Description” and “Link” format needed for Really Simple Syndication or RSS.

The algorithm produces results from any page. You can tweak those results to make sure they are giving you what you need. Whenever the page updates, the feed updates. Simple. It makes the entire web available on RSS. It’s now called myWebFeeds .

Of course, the same technology sits behind the monitoring services we offer at Market Sentinel .

At myWebFeeds we have discovered that feed creation is only a part of the story. We now help people to syndicate their press releases and advise them on how to syndicate their own feeds – how to optimise them so that they can be linked well, and which aggregators to report them to. It is a burgeoning area, and a new SEM-type space.
